Central A recap October 22, 2013
Belgrade extended the longest winning streak in Central A this week by beating Park, 47-6. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Panthers.
The Rangers lost to Belgrade 47-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ryan Marks threw for 75 yards and ran for 90 yards in the defeat.
Dane Warp threw for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 19-29 with 3 interceptions.
Warp put up the best numbers through the air as Havre lost to Polson. Warp's favorite target this week was Parker Filius, who caught 6 passes for 155 yards.
The Blue Ponies' Warp and Thomas Gruber led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Warp has thrown for 2,008 yards this season, while Gruber has 28 catches for 485 yards. Eric Kinnaman's team's Brayden Konkol leads the league in rushing yards with 900.
The Panthers' Konkol needs only 100 yards against Frenchtown next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 119 carries Konkol has accumulated 900 yard this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Browning takes on Havre. At the moment, the Indians are in fifth, while Jason Christenson's team is in second.
Belgrade led Central A in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Bryan Beitel's team. Konkol threw for 77 yards and ran for 117 yards during the win.
