Lucy Beckham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Philip Simmons, who was ranked third at the time (Lucy Beckham was ranked tenth). The Bengals walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Iron Horses on Saturday.

Lucy Beckham got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 30-28.

Berkeley had taken Cane Bay down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Stags took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cobras. While the Stags didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cobras 25-20 in the first set.

Berkeley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-22.

Lucy Beckham's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Berkeley, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
