Basketball Recap: Loara Comes Up Short

Loara lost against Artesia back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Loara Saxons were beaten by the Artesia Pioneers 76-33. While losing is never fun, the Saxons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1205th, while the Pioneers are ranked 462nd).

Loara's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Artesia, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5.

Loara will welcome Santa Ana Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Artesia, they will venture away from home to challenge Oxford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
