Volleyball Recap: Colfax's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elk Mound, Colfax was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Colfax had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 19-25, 25-10, 25-18, 15-5.

Brynn Sikora paced Colfax's offense, picking up 15 kills. Sikora got some help from Ruby Kunsman and her 19 assists. Sikora was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Colfax's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Durand-Arkansaw, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Colfax will challenge Cameron at 9:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Durand-Arkansaw, they will venture away from home to challenge Menomonie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
