Baseball Recap: Dimond Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dimond had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears. This was payback for the Lynx, who suffered a 16-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dimond got a big performance out of Drew Dittman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Dittman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Woodhead, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dimond kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.

Dimond's record is now 15-10-2. As for Juneau-Douglas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Dimond nor Juneau-Douglas have any future games scheduled.
