Buchanan and Clovis West are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2022, but not for long. The Bears will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Buchanan is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Buchanan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against San Luis Obispo by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Tigers on their court since September 3, 2019.

While Buchanan might've won, it sure wasn't easy: San Luis Obispo scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Clovis West posted their closest victory since September 5th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against San Luis Obispo, sneaking past 3-2.

Clovis West wouldn't go down easily and took San Luis Obispo into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-27, 21-25, 15-12.

Buchanan better keep an eye on Naomi Gagan. She was instrumental in Clovis West's win, getting 13 digs and four assists. Those 13 digs gave Gagan a new career-high.

Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 33-8. As for Clovis West, their victory bumped their record up to 27-12.
