Basketball Recap: Bowman Academy Takes a Loss

Bowman Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 63-51 to the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2020.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hammond Bishop Noll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khalel Johnson, who posted 19 points. Johnson's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddux Laurincik, who scored 14 points.

Bowman Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Bowman Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-36 loss against Lafayette Jefferson on the 25th. Hammond Bishop Noll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
