Preview: American History Bald Eagles vs. Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars
The American History Bald Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. American History has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-1 during that stretch of close contests.
American History pushed their score all the way to 61 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Academy Charter.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ihjamir Williams, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabaree Christopher, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Montclair Kimberley Academy beat Tech 38-30 on Wednesday. The win was just what Montclair Kimberley Academy needed coming off of a 45-24 loss in their prior game.
American History's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
American History took their win against Montclair Kimberley Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2019 by a conclusive 63-37. Will American History repeat their success, or does Montclair Kimberley Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
