Football Game Preview: Geneseo Maple Leafs vs. Alleman Pioneers + How To Watch

The Geneseo Maple Leafs will square off against the Alleman Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Geneseo has three straight wins, Alleman has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Geneseo will bounce into Friday's game after beating Sterling, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Maple Leafs blew past the Golden Warriors 31-10 on Friday.

Kye Weinzierl had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 115 yards on only 12 carries, while also picking up 86 receiving yards. His longest reception was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Jackson McAvoy was another key player, rushing for 28 yards and a pair of TDs.

Geneseo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Player #10 and Keaton Ariano.

Alleman played against Moline on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Alleman's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Geneseo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Geneseo against Alleman in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, as the team secured a 44-0 win. Do the Maple Leafs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
