Marion can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Inman Inman Teutons by a score of 58-43 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Howard, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Howard is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Wessel, who went 7 for 16 en route to 19 points and four steals.

Marion was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Marion's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Inman, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Marion and Inman could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Marion will challenge Ell-Saline at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th down 259 places (284 vs. 25). Similarly, Inman (ranked 253rd) will meet St. John (ranked 121st) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
