Volleyball Recap: Upper Lake's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Upper Lake lost against Kelseyville back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Knights. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11.

Alyssa John paced Upper Lake's offense, picking up four kills. John got some help from Camila Martin and her four assists. Finally, John was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Upper Lake fell to 3-1. As for Kelseyville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Upper Lake and Kelseyville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Cougars see the court they'll take on Willits at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Kelseyville, their break will end when they face Lower Lake at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
