Volleyball Recap: Bryleigh Heller and Sydney Hael Secure Win for Shelbyville

Shelbyville not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Southwestern Spartans. This was payback for the Golden Bears, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-11, 25-21.

Shelbyville was led to victory by Sydney Hael and Bryleigh Heller. Hael had nine digs and two aces, while Heller had ten digs.

They weren't the only good server: Shelbyville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Shelbyville back to even at 1-1. As for Southwestern, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Shelbyville will be playing at home against Columbus North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwestern, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Herron at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
