For the first time in his career, Leonardo Perez scored a rushing touchdown on Friday. He rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown as Firebaugh fell to Chowchilla 17-14. Perez's big game is all the more special as we consider it to be the best performance he's ever had.

Looking ahead, Perez and Firebaugh will face off against Fowler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Perez had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their game back in August of 2024 21-20.
