Softball Recap: Mariposa County Grizzlies vs. Stone Ridge Christian Knights
Mariposa County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Stone Ridge Christian Knights 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Grizzlies sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Hailey Hatcher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits.
On the hitting side, Mariposa County let Heely Patterson and Taylor Krull run wild. Patterson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Krull went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Krull has posted since back in March.
