Garces Memorial had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt North on Saturday. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Stars a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Serenity Ward was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Garces Memorial let Reese Bowles and Izzy Frye run wild. Bowles scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Frye went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Bowles has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Lexi Marquez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Garces Memorial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

As for North, they will venture away from home to square off against Orange Cove at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Stars will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
