Baseball Preview: Fisher Gators vs. Chalmette Owls
The Fisher Gators are taking a road trip to take on the Chalmette Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fisher barely beat South Plaquemines the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Fisher's pitchers stepped up to hand South Plaquemines a 6-0 shutout on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won three in a row.
Tyler Mike was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February.
