Preview: Shiloh Hills Christian Challengers vs. Horizon Christian Academy Warriors
After five games on the road, Shiloh Hills Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Horizon Christian Academy Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Shiloh Hills Christian came up short against Unity Christian and fell 68-55.
Meanwhile, Horizon Christian Academy entered their tilt with Fulton Science Academy with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Horizon Christian Academy claimed a resounding 88-40 win over Fulton Science Academy on the road. Horizon Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 29 points or more this season.
Horizon Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Hunter Beenken, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, and Evan Holcombe, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. Beenken hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Cooper Johnson, who scored ten points.
Shiloh Hills Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Horizon Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10.
Things could have been worse for Shiloh Hills Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to Horizon Christian Academy in their previous meeting two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Holcombe, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
