Rockbridge County took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against East Rockingham, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 4th.

Rockbridge County's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for East Rockingham, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County will host Turner Ashby at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Rockingham, they will face off against Broadway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
