Softball Recap: Western Christian Victorious

Western Christian won the last time they faced Capistrano Valley Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fighting Lancers walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Lancers.

Kayden Quiroz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Giada Partida was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Savannah Lugo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

The win got Western Christian back to even at 9-9. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Western Christian has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Southlands Christian on the 10th. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Calvary Chapel on the 10th.
