Volleyball Recap: Mira Costa Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Mira Costa faced Beckman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

While Mira Costa won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 28-26, 25-18.

Mira Costa pushed their record up to 30-2 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Beckman, their loss dropped their record down to 28-6.

After both having extra time off, Mira Costa and San Clemente will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beckman, they are taking a road trip to face off against Corona del Mar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
