Basketball Recap: Stillwater Takes a Loss

Stillwater came up into this matchup off a tough 29-point defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ponca City Wildcats by a score of 41-39 on Friday. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 54-38.

Stillwater's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Ponca City, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-12.

Stillwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-61 win against Bishop McGuinness on the 25th. As for Ponca City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-37 defeat against Deer Creek on the 25th.
