Basketball Recap: Summit Takes a Loss

Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 51-42 to the Independence Eagles. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 59-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Independence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Summit will head out to take on Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they will host Nolensville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
