Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tuscaloosa County on Thursday, Hillcrest came back down to earth. The Patriots came up short against the Hoover Buccaneers on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since September 30th.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-11.

Hoover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cheyenne Conner, who had 19 digs and four assists. Brynn Toenes was another key player, getting 12 digs and nine assists.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 17-20. As for Hoover, their win bumped their record up to 19-23.

As of now, neither Hillcrest nor the Buccaneers have any future games scheduled.
