Basketball Game Preview: Blair Bears vs. Standing Bear Grizzlies

The Blair Bears and the Standing Bear Grizzlies will meet on Saturday for a tough Bear Battle.

Last Thursday, Blair ended up a good deal behind Elkhorn North and lost 43-28. The Bears have struggled against Elkhorn North recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Blair used a three-pronged attack on offense: Beau Wendt, Taytum Macholan, and Hayden Frink Mathis posted six points each.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Standing Bear). They took down Glenwood 60-44 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Grizzlies as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Blair's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Standing Bear, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.
