Softball Game Preview: Oxford Yellow Jackets vs. Sand Rock Wildcats

The Oxford Yellow Jackets will take on the Sand Rock Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Oxford will be strutting in after a victory while Sand Rock will be coming in after a defeat.

Oxford gave up the first runs last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Lincoln by a score of 7-4. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Sand Rock lost 13-3 to Pleasant Valley on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sand Rock's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Oxford, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Everything went Oxford's way against Sand Rock in their previous matchup back in April of 2021, as Oxford made off with a 12-3 win. Will Oxford repeat their success, or does Sand Rock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
