Basketball Recap: Holly Pond Has No Trouble Against Colbert County

Holly Pond had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 victory over the Colbert County Indians on Friday. 54 seems to be a good number for the Broncos as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Colbert County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joyden Ricks, who posted 17 points. That was a full 43.6% of Colbert County's points, marking the third time in a row Ricks has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Taylor, who earned ten points.

Holly Pond is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Colbert County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-12.
