Basketball Recap: Central Texas Christian Comes Up Short

Central Texas Christian fought the good fight in their overtime match against Lutheran on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lutheran Mustangs. The Lions have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Central Texas Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.

One thing working in Live Oak Classical's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. As for Lutheran, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Faith Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
