Belton-Honea Path had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Noah Thomas did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Bears blew past the Greer Yellow Jackets 42-19 for which the team can thank Thomas, who rushed for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 159 yards and two TDs. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Belton-Honea Path's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Greer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton-Honea Path will square off against Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greer, they will venture away from home to take on Hillcrest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
