Not much got past Zavier Garcia, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Weslaco East off the board. Garcia has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alex Leon, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Miguel Soto, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Rowe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weslaco East only posted a batting average of .125.

Meanwhile, Palmview was able to grind out a solid win over Flour Bluff on Saturday, taking the game 5-1.

In other batting news, Jaxzel Cantu was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4. He also scored two runs, marking his first of the season. Osi Lopez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Palmview's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rowe, their victory bumped their record up to 22-8.

Rowe took their win against Palmview in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
