Palatine is a perfect 4-0 against Elk Grove since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pirates will face off against the Grenadiers at 6:00 p.m. Palatine is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

On Tuesday, Palatine earned a 2-0 victory over Conant.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Palatine was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Elk Grove came up short against Schaumburg on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Grenadiers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Elk Grove was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-21.

Palatine's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Elk Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.

Palatine was able to grind out a solid victory over Elk Grove in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
