League recap: Tri-City Christian extends winning streak with victory over Maranatha Christian

Tri-City Christian extended the longest winning streak in Pacific this week by beating Maranatha Christian, 42-7. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Tri-City Christian took down the Eagles 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Benjamin Giese ran for 151 yards and caught 2 passes for 71 yards in the win.

San Diego Jewish Academy's dynamic duo of Jordan Battaglia and Adam Sloane proved to be unstoppable against Calvin Christian, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Battaglia threw for 309 yards and 1 touchdown and Sloane had 135 yards receiving. Jake Posnock helped San Diego Jewish Academy's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 101 yards.

He was 17-30 with 2 interceptions.

Jake Bronson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Maranatha Christian fell to RickBrown's team. The 5-foot-10 defensive back recorded 1 fumble and grabbed 1 sack.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Isaac Schwan. The Maranatha Christian star has 30 catches for 523 yards.

Giese of the the Eagles is only 56 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 133 carries Giese has put up 944 yards this year.

One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Warriors and Tri-City Christian face off next week. Chris Salisbury has thrown for 1,258 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Caleb Morrow has plagued opposing QBs to the tune of 6.5 sacks.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Army-Navy takes on the Eagles. Pat Fanene's team is in third place, while Tri-City Christian is in first place.

The Crusaders and the Lions played the most contested game in Pacific this week, with the Crusaders eventually emerging with a 18-12 victory. Danny Lovato ran for 96 yards during the win.
