Basketball Recap: Delta Saints vs. Westlake Charter Explorers

Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Westlake Charter Explorers, falling 100-19. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Explorers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 94-31 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westlake Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quinones Fleeton, who went 10-for-16 en route to 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Fleeton now owns an excellent 46.2% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Brian Ash, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Westlake Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westlake Charter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-67 win against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy on the 19th.
