Softball Game Preview: Pinson Valley Indians vs. Gardendale Rockets

Pinson Valley is 1-9 against Gardendale since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pinson Valley Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gardendale Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with 12 losses in a row dating back to last season, Pinson Valley turned things around against Pleasant Grove on Friday. Everything went their way against the Spartans as they made off with a 16-2 win. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Gardendale was able to grind out a solid victory over Corner on Tuesday, taking the game 10-5. The win continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won three in a row.

Gardendale now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Pinson Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Pinson Valley suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Gardendale in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Pinson Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
