Soccer Game Preview: Jacksonville vs. J.H. Rose

Jacksonville is on a three-game streak of home wins, while J.H. Rose is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cardinals will welcome the Rampants at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Jacksonville's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Northside - Jacksonville as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Jacksonville, who have now won six contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Northside - Jacksonville from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ava Stephens led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask J.H. Rose). They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Richlands on Monday. With J.H. Rose ahead 4-1 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

J.H. Rose is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five contests. As for Jacksonville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-2.
