Soccer Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

If Hamilton was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Holland back in March, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawkeyes came up short against the Zeeland West Dux on Wednesday, falling 4-0. Hamilton were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Zeeland West apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Hamilton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Zeeland West, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will welcome Holland Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Holland Christian's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Zeeland West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Lake at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
