Riverside and Covington are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Buccs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Riverside came up short against Milton-Union and fell 5-1.

Meanwhile, Covington scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Minster, falling 20-10. The Buccs haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Riverside came out on top in a nail-biter against Covington when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
