Basketball Game Preview: Moon Valley Rockets vs. Goldwater Bulldogs

The Moon Valley Rockets will face off against the Goldwater Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goldwater took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Moon Valley, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Moon Valley didn't have too much trouble with Shadow Mountain as they won 31-12.

Moon Valley found their leader in freshman Aniston Pattershall, who posted 15 points and five steals. Pattershall has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Kamariana Shaw was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Goldwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 81-15 defeat at the hands of Paradise Honors. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Panthers are ranked 46th).

Goldwater's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Moon Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
