Soccer Game Preview: Innovation Academy vs. Pioneer Charter School of Science

The Innovation Academy Red Tailed Hawk will face off against the Pioneer Charter School of Science Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Innovation Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Innovation Academy lost 5-1 to Greater Lawrence Tech on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Innovation Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Greater Lawrence Tech are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in September, Pioneer Charter School of Science was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and Prospect Hill Academy finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Pioneer Charter School of Science's draw gives them a new season record of 6-5-2. As for Innovation Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1.

Innovation Academy might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Pioneer Charter School of Science in their previous matchup back in September. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Red Tailed Hawk were down 4-0.
