DeMatha is a perfect 10-0 against The Heights since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Stags will head out to square off against The Heights at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

DeMatha is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering St. John's just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cadets, falling 9-2.

DeMatha saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Wentworth, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Bishop O'Connell hit The Heights with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Heights lost 8-0 to Bishop O'Connell. The Heights hasn't had much luck with Bishop O'Connell recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The Heights also got a good showing from Tommy Franck, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Franck has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances.

The Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for DeMatha, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

DeMatha beat The Heights 8-3 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stags since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
