Football Recap: Bay Path RVT Comes Up Short

Bay Path RVT extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They took a blow against the Clinton Gaels, falling 36-7. The Minutemen were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.

As for Clinton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Taetum Cassella and Connor Cox. Cassella rushed for 81 yards and two TDs on only eight carries while Cox rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards Cox has posted since back in October of 2024.

Bay Path RVT and Clinton will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Minutemen will square off against rival Northbridge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Clinton is set to challenge their familiar foe Hudson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
