Soccer Game Preview: Glendale vs. Burbank

The Glendale Nitros will take on the Burbank Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Glendale will be strutting in after a victory while Burbank will be coming in after a defeat.

Glendale headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for six straight, but Burroughs let them put that streak behind them. The Nitros walked away with a 4-2 win over the Bears on Thursday. Considering Glendale's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Burbank's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crescenta Valley. While losing is never fun, Burbank can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while Crescenta Valley are ranked 173rd).

Raymond Soukiazian and Victor Chtryan scored both of Burbank's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Glendale's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-3. As for Burbank, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-3.
