Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Brush

Brush entered their tilt with Bedford on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 24-7 margin over the Bearcats. Considering the Arcs have won five matchups by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brush got a massive performance out of Raia Ross, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Ross a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayshelle Frierson, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-5.

Brush was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .314 or higher in three consecutive games.

Brush's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Bedford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Coming up, Brush will head out on the road to square off against Garfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Arcs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Bedford, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kirtland at 5:00 p.m.
