Softball Game Preview: Odyssey Charter Owls vs. Sussex Tech Ravens

The Odyssey Charter Owls will take on the Sussex Tech Ravens at 3:30 a.m. on Monday. Sussex Tech took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Odyssey Charter, who comes in off a win.

Odyssey Charter took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Dickinson. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Gianna Caez (2026) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Lena Garland (2029) was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Lilly Gibson (2025), who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Sussex Tech fell victim to Caravel Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Ravens in their meetings with the Buccaneers: they've now lost three in a row.

Sussex Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Odyssey Charter, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
