Volleyball Recap: Ephrata Comes Up Short

Ephrata lost against Hempfield back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mountaineers came up short against the Black Knights, falling 3-0. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-12.

Austin Fries paced Ephrata's offense, picking up eight kills. Fries got some help from Brayden Fries and his 17 assists.

Ephrata's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-3. As for Hempfield, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ephrata will head out to square off against Elizabethtown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hempfield, they will venture away from home to challenge Exeter Township at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
