Basketball Recap: Lanett Wins Going Away Against Lee-Scott Academy

Lanett was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lee-Scott Academy on Thursday. Everything went the Lanett Panthers' way against the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors as the Lanett Panthers made off with a 42-17 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

MaKiah White continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 20 boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in January. Nakerionna Heard was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

The victory got Lanett back to even at 4-4. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they moved to 6-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Lanett won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Glenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant centers against one another: White and Bobbi Taylor Breazeale. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they will take on Alabama Christian Academy at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
