Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Whitmore Lake

While Whitmore Lake didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Hope Christian Academy Hawks, posting a 64-17 victory. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Nate Dillon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Fair, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards.

The win (which was Whitmore Lake's seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Hope Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Whitmore Lake will take on Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
