Baseball Recap: Wayne Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Wayne Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Community Christian Cyclones, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Monday.

TRENT SHEPPARD made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was KENNETH LARA, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Wayne Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Community Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Wayne Preparatory Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Spring Creek at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Community Christian, they will welcome Beddingfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
