Preview: Nazareth Kingsmen vs. St. John's Prep Red Storm
The Nazareth Kingsmen will be playing at home against the St. John's Prep Red Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Nazareth pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Ursuline 67-61.
Despite the defeat, Nazareth got a solid performance out of Vanessa McManus, who scored 30 points. M. Moore was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, St. John's Prep had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 63-43 walloping at the hands of Bishop Loughlin.
Nazareth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for St. John's Prep, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-1.
Nazareth won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, slipping by St. John's Prep 64-63. Will Nazareth repeat their success, or does St. John's Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
