Recap: Greeley West Spartans vs. Monarch Coyotes
The Greeley West Spartans lost against the Monarch Coyotes back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Greeley West took a serious blow against Monarch, falling 44-11. Greeley West has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Riley Montemayor looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Gray, who gained 47 total yards and two touchdowns.
Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Monarch, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Greeley West will be playing at home against Erie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Erie will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Monarch, they will head out on the road to face off against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Silver Creek is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
