Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Yucca Valley). They were the clear victor by  a  25-7 margin over the Xavier Prep Saints on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six matchups by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
 Hadyn Ross was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits (and only one walk). Ross was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Tayla Monroy and  Aryssa Patterson did most of the damage at the plate:  Monroy  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Patterson  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  Patterson a new career-high in  runs. Another player making a difference was  Hannah Cusack, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Three bases.
 Yucca Valley was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .407 or higher in four consecutive  games.
Yucca Valley has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record  this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. Xavier Prep dropped their record down to 0-10 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  at home.
 Coming up, Yucca Valley will host Arroyo Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Arroyo Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.75  runs per game on average), something Yucca Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Xavier Prep, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Palm Springs  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
